Privacy Policy

Moonra Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026

At Moonra, we want you to understand what happens to the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect from the people who visit our site, buy from us, or reach out to us, and what we do with that information once we have it.

Throughout this document, "Moonra," "we," "us," and "our" mean the business that runs the Moonra online store. "You" and "your" mean anyone who browses our website, places an order, signs up for our emails, contacts our team, or otherwise engages with what we offer.

Our store runs on the Shopify platform, and to operate it we rely on a range of outside partners — among them payment processors, shipping and fulfilment companies, analytics tools, advertising networks, and customer-support services. When you use Moonra, you accept that your information may be handled in the ways set out below.

Should any other Moonra policy disagree with this one specifically on how personal information is treated, this Privacy Policy is the one that applies to that question.

1. What We Mean by "Personal Information"

In this Policy, personal information refers to details that identify you, describe you, or could reasonably be connected to you or your household.

Where data has been aggregated or stripped of identifying elements so that it can no longer point back to a specific person, we generally do not consider it personal information. Keep in mind that the precise legal meaning of the term can vary depending on the privacy laws that apply where you live.

2. Details You Give Us Directly

There are many moments where you may hand information to us yourself — for instance when you place an order, open or update an account, type in your delivery or billing details, join our mailing list, write to our support team, leave a review, start a return or refund, enter a giveaway, or simply get in touch.

The information you share in these situations can include your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, account login details, the contents and history of your orders, the products you tend to prefer, the messages you send our support team, any return or refund details, and anything else you decide to tell us.

3. Checkout and Payment Details

Whenever you buy something from us, details tied to that purchase pass through Moonra and the payment services that power our checkout.

Depending on how you choose to pay, this can involve information linked to your card or digital wallet, your billing details, the authorisation and status of the payment, the amount charged, any refunds issued, and the identifiers attached to the transaction.

The most sensitive payment credentials are typically managed by the payment processors themselves rather than held by Moonra. What we can actually see depends on the provider you use and the tools involved in completing your order.

4. How You Interact With Our Store

We also look at the ways people move through our website and shopping experience. This can cover which pages and products you look at, what you add to or take out of your cart, how far you get through checkout, the orders you complete, any returns or exchanges, how you respond to promotions, where you arrived from, and how you use the various features on the site.

Watching these patterns helps us figure out what's working, what isn't, and where the Moonra experience could be smoother.

5. Information Collected Automatically

Some technical details are gathered on their own when you open our website. Depending on your device and how it's set up, this can include your IP address, the type of browser and operating system you're running, your device type, network details, a rough location worked out from that technical data, unique device or browser identifiers, the site that referred you, the pages you land on, timestamps, and records of how you interact with the page.

We and the services we work with may collect this using cookies, pixels, tags, server logs, software kits, and comparable technologies.

6. Cookies and Related Technologies

Moonra uses cookies and similar tools to keep the website running, hold onto your preferences, measure traffic, study how customers shop, guard against fraud, and support our advertising.

Some of these are simply necessary for the basics to function — things like holding items in your cart, getting you through checkout, remembering choices you've made, and keeping the site secure. Others handle analytics, personalisation, or advertising, where that's allowed.

What you can turn on or off will depend on where you are, your browser settings, and the consent tools we make available on the site.

7. Information That Reaches Us From Others

Not everything we hold comes straight from you. We also receive information from the partners who help us run the store or provide services on our behalf — for example Shopify, our payment processors, our shipping and fulfilment partners, fraud-prevention services, analytics providers, advertising platforms, support tools, marketing services, and other commercial partners. What each one passes along depends on the service they provide and our relationship with them.

8. Why We Use Your Information

We put personal information to work for a number of practical reasons.

Running your orders and helping you out. We use it to take and confirm your purchases, get orders ready, arrange delivery, send you shipping updates, deal with cancellations, handle returns and refunds, look after your account, and answer your questions.

Operating and improving the store. We rely on it to keep the website going, see how it's performing, sharpen our product pages, personalise parts of the experience, follow the customer journey, spot technical issues, and develop better products and services.

Keeping things secure. We process it to check transactions, flag anything suspicious, catch attempted fraud, protect accounts, block unauthorised access, look into misuse, and keep our systems safe.

Marketing and advertising. Where the law allows, we use it to send promotional emails and messages, gauge how our ads are doing, understand what customers are interested in, build and measure advertising audiences, and show ads that are more likely to be relevant. Your choices about this are covered further down.

Meeting legal and operational obligations. We also use it where reasonably needed to follow the law, keep proper business records, respond to legitimate legal requests, enforce our terms, defend or bring legal claims, protect Moonra and the people we deal with, and satisfy tax, accounting, and regulatory duties.

9. Who We Share Information With

We pass personal information to others only where it's needed to run the business or serve you.

  • Technology and ecommerce providers — Shopify and other vendors that handle hosting, ecommerce infrastructure, cloud services, analytics, security, and support.
  • Payment partners — the processors, banks, card networks, and fraud-prevention services involved in taking payment.
  • Fulfilment and delivery partners — the warehouses, fulfilment providers, couriers, and logistics companies that prepare and ship your orders.
  • Advertising and marketing partners — where permitted, the partners that help us measure campaigns or deliver relevant ads. Depending on where you live, some of these arrangements may legally count as a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising, and you may be able to opt out.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, lawyers, auditors, consultants, and insurers, where reasonably necessary.
  • In a business transfer — if Moonra is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar event, information may move as part of that deal.
  • When the law requires it — where we reasonably believe we need to in order to comply with the law, answer a valid legal or government request, investigate wrongdoing, enforce our agreements, or protect legal rights.

10. The Role of Shopify

The Moonra store is built on Shopify. When you browse or buy, Shopify processes certain information in order to provide the ecommerce infrastructure behind the store, which means some of your details are passed to Shopify and to companies that work with it. Some of this handling may take place outside your home country.

Depending on which Shopify features our store uses, Shopify may also process information gathered through Moonra, through Shopify itself, or through other Shopify-powered merchants, for the purposes set out in Shopify's own privacy documentation. For some of these activities Shopify acts on its own account as a controller or responsible business, so requests about processing Shopify carries out independently may need to go to Shopify directly.

11. Advertising and Personalised Marketing

Moonra works with advertising services that help us measure our campaigns and reach people likely to be interested in what we sell. Depending on the technologies in use and the law that applies, these partners may draw on details such as the pages you've visited, the products you've looked at, your shopping activity, your device information, your identifiers, and your past interactions with Moonra. That information may be combined with data the advertising platforms already hold from elsewhere.

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to object to or opt out of certain targeted advertising, sharing, or sale of your personal information.

12. Your Email and Marketing Choices

If you're receiving promotional emails from us and would rather not, you can use the unsubscribe link in any of those messages to step away from marketing communications. Opting out of marketing doesn't stop us from sending the service messages tied to your relationship with us — things to do with your orders, shipping, account security, payments, refunds, support requests, and important notices about our policies or service.

13. Links to Other Sites

Our website may point to services, sites, apps, or social platforms run by other companies. Once you leave Moonra, how those third parties handle your information is governed by their own policies, not ours. We don't control how an independent service collects, uses, protects, or shares data, so we'd encourage you to read its privacy policy before handing over any details. A link from our site doesn't mean we endorse that service or how it handles privacy.

14. Keeping Information Secure

We put reasonable administrative, organisational, and technical safeguards in place to protect information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure. That said, no website, database, or method of transmitting or storing data can ever be completely secure, so we can't promise absolute protection. We'd also ask you to take sensible precautions of your own when sharing sensitive details online and to keep your account credentials to yourself.

15. How Long We Hold Information

How long we keep personal information depends on why we collected it and how it's being used. Among the things we weigh are the need to maintain your account, process and document transactions, provide support, meet ongoing obligations, keep accounting records, comply with the law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Once information is no longer reasonably needed, we delete it, anonymise it, or otherwise dispose of it in line with the law and our own retention practices.

16. Children's Privacy

Moonra isn't built to be used as a shopping service by children. We don't knowingly set out to collect personal information directly from anyone below the age at which they can legally give consent or enter into these kinds of transactions where they live.

If you're a parent or guardian and think a child has given us personal information when they shouldn't have, please write to support@mymoonra.com and we'll review the situation and act where we're required to. Moonra does not knowingly sell or share — as those terms are defined under applicable privacy law — the personal information of anyone under 16.

17. Your Privacy Rights

The rights you have depend on where you live. Subject to the law that applies to you and any exceptions it allows, you may be able to ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, explain how we process your data, correct information that's wrong, delete certain information, provide a portable copy of eligible data, stop or limit certain processing, or honour the withdrawal of consent where consent is what we've relied on. You may also be able to opt out of certain targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of your information, and to appeal some of our decisions about privacy requests. These rights aren't unlimited and may not apply where an exception or a competing legal duty gets in the way.

18. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Where the law requires it, Moonra may honour supported browser-based privacy signals. If you reach our site with a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal switched on, we may treat it as a request to opt the relevant browser or device out of qualifying sale or sharing activity, where applicable law obliges us to. Other "Do Not Track" mechanisms may not be recognised where no legal or industry standard requires us to act on them.

19. Extra Rights for EEA and UK Residents

If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data-protection law may give you additional rights. Depending on the circumstances, these can include accessing your data, correcting it, requesting its deletion, limiting or objecting to how it's processed, receiving certain data in a portable format, and withdrawing consent where our processing rests on it. Withdrawing consent doesn't make the processing we carried out beforehand unlawful. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your country or region.

20. Making a Privacy Request

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at support@mymoonra.com. We may need to ask you for some information to confirm who you are before we act, which protects your data from being handed over or deleted by the wrong person. Where the law permits, you can appoint someone to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof that they're authorised and may still verify your identity directly. You won't be treated unfairly for exercising any privacy right the law gives you.

21. International Handling of Your Information

Moonra works with providers and infrastructure based in different countries, which means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed from somewhere other than where you live. Privacy laws differ from one place to another. Where the law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use legally recognised mechanisms to protect the information involved. For transfers out of the EEA or UK, these may include adequacy decisions, European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, UK-approved transfer mechanisms, or another permitted safeguard.

22. Questions and Complaints

If something about how Moonra handles your personal information worries you, please come to us first so we can look into it — you can reach us at support@mymoonra.com. Depending on where you live, you may also be entitled to raise a complaint with a privacy or data-protection regulator, or to appeal a decision we've made about a privacy request.

23. Changes of Ownership

If ownership or control of Moonra changes hands, customer and website information may be among the assets that move as part of that transaction — for example in an acquisition, merger, sale, restructuring, financing, insolvency, or transfer of business assets. Any personal information caught up in such a deal stays subject to the privacy-law protections that apply to it.

24. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to keep up with changes in how we operate, the technology and providers we use, our privacy practices, the law, or the services we offer. When we make a change, we'll post the updated version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Where the law requires, we'll also give additional notice of significant changes.

25. How to Reach Us

Any questions about this Privacy Policy, our privacy practices, or how to exercise your rights can be sent to:

Moonra — Privacy Support support@mymoonra.com

For the purposes of applicable privacy and data-protection law, Moonra acts as the controller of personal information wherever we decide the purposes and means of processing it, except where another party — such as Shopify or another service provider — acts independently in relation to a particular activity.
